Problems with importing points

Question: Import was used to load a file of points in a format defined under 'General'. Some point numbers are repeated, coordinate values are in the wrong columns, some descriptions are missing, etc.

Answer: Please refer to Import for details of this option. The details of each point must occupy one full line only in the file and must be in the required order. If the data does not contain required values in the expected positions, insert a '*' as a place-holder for each missing value. If Alpha-numeric IDs are used, they must not contain any spaces - replace any spaces with '_'.
