Latitudes and longitudes in wrong hemispheres

Question: The job coordinates are set to Geographic in Job Configuration and I have imported points as latitudes and longitudes. However the points are displayed in mirror-image in the wrong hemispheres.

Answer: Geoida uses the standard convention for geographic coordinates, that is:

• South latitudes are -ve and north latitudes are +ve within the range -90 to +90 degrees
  
  
• Longitudes west of the Greenwich meridian (0 degrees) are -ve and east of Greenwich are +ve within the range -180 to +180 degrees.

It will be necessary to edit the import file and convert the sign of the coordinates.
