Processing SDR

If the SDR data contains traverse, network or resection observations as well as radiation observations for detail pickup, the file should first be processed using the All data or Traverse/network modes so that the control stations may be adjusted before processing the radiation observations. As with any of the other similar options that processes traverse or network data, those observations detected in the SDR data file will be written to an Extract file which may be edited if necessary, before final processing and adjustment (see Extract file for more information). Following computation and adjustment of the traverse/network framework in this manner, the file may then be processed again using the Radiations only mode to compute the radiated points.

At the commencement of the reduction of SDR radiation data (i.e., data which was not collected using the SDR's Traverse or Set Collection programs) if the derivation code CO (Coordinates program) is detected in the data, the user is prompted :

Radiations by Coordinates program ...
Use computed points in data ?
(Answer NO to reduce actual observations)

The user can thus nominate whether coordinate values computed by the SDR are to be read from the data and added to the database if not already present, or whether new values are to be computed from the observation details given.

Note - When a data file containing SDR MC (Meaned-Corrected) observation sets is processed, it may be observed in the log file that all instrument and target heights are shown as 0.000 in the summary of observations although they are recorded otherwise in the raw SDR file. This is normal and occurs simply because the MC records already have all corrections applied such as atmospheric, collimation, Face1/Face2 corrections, etc, and also for the differences between instrument heights and target heights.
